Der Photograph Stephan Lachmann positioniert seine Modelle sachlich und unprätentiös, doch niemals langweilig oder belanglos. Er läßt dort den Körper sprechen, wo andere mit Effekten arbeiten und er baut während eines Photo-Shootings eine dichte erotische Atmosphäre auf, die er adäquat in seine Bildersprache umsetzt. Stephan Lachmann will nicht anecken oder provozieren, er möchte zum unaufhörlichen und genußvollen Betrachten seiner Bilder verführen.

I had a lifelong interest in photography but it was not until I moved to Montreal in 1979 that I had the opportunity to become seriously involved with and attain the skills I needed to do commercial work. As well I started to explore the world of black and white fine art photography which I continue to do to this day as well as exploring the use of digital technology for further creativity.Once I had developed enough in my commercial work to pay the bills I started to use the skills I had acquired to start creating Art Work that I could enjoy in the way of fine art B&W prints. I had always desired to photograph the female form as a creative outlet of what I viewed form perfected. Human form is art in itself and I wanted to capture it as best as can be done within the medium. My personal vision is for sensuous body lines and texture with shadings of light in as pure a form as the model can project. I like to keep the lines as pure and uncomplicated as possible. My Still Life’s and Architectural photos try to exhibit a similar uncluttered form. I am just as passionate about these images as I am of the human form. There is an interesting relationship between nudes and different styles in architecture with their wide variety of forms and shapes where light accentuates and sculptures the lines. My work is available for sale, archivally printed and mounted, ready for framing or in a collectors archival box set.
