Johnny Olsen has been shooting photography for the past thirteen years. He has attended New York's School of Visual Arts.  He is, however,  primarily self-taught in the fashion photography field. 

"When I was in school in New York, I was shooting artsy-fartsy stuff, shapes and textures. I did not shoot people during my stint at SVA.  My 'people' photography started out, oddly enough, while I was working in a restaurant in San Diego.   A female co-worker approached me while I was showing off some 4x5 chromes of my recent cross country trip and asked if I shot headshots.  I told her that I didn't shoot people, she replied 'I'll pay you'  The rest is history..."

His most memorable moments shooting were spent on a three-month cross-country trip, photographing the National Parks of the western United States. He has shot for modeling agencies in New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego, and is currently working with several agencies from N.Y. to L.A., and clients from across the globe. He specializes in editorial fashion, commercial and theatrical headshots shooting with primarily with natural light.

Johnny is currently living in Los Angeles, California.
